Volvo only engages ODD GEARS..EVEN GEARS feels like NEUTRAL

    2016 volvo D13...yesterday got message CHECK TRANSMISSION AT NEXT STOP..Busy intersection..cops already called TOW..Somehow erratic transmission kicks in...NOW good in gears 3 5 7 9 11..BUT 6 8 10 12..feels like Neutral..AND 1st TANK losing air WHEN building...started yesterday COINCIDENCE...?
    HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED

    I am not understanding on the air. If it is too low it will not allow the transmission to work. So this could be part of the problem. Also sounds like the TECU ribbon is not communicating and might need to be replaced. Or could be time for a rebuild on the transmission. How many miles on it and was it serviced at the 500K?

    Air is good now. All ODD gears all good. But If it shifts to a EVEN gear 2 4 6 8 10 12....feels like Neutral. No grinding or Noise. Driving to HOME TERMINAL in 11th gear...Cruise at 53 MPH. Truck Mileage is 860000. Yes it was serviced at 500k..Transmission cooler lines changed......THANKS

    Any ideas...U think transmission is good?..I mean all ODD gears NO ISSUE
    ...Harness maybe..?

    @nasriza You think i can drive in ODD gears to Chicago to you. 400 miles

    The CODE is SA24 DTC P107538
    Thats for CLUTCH
    But why CLUTCH bad ONLY for EVEN gears

    Unless you're pulling a loaded trailer you can drive a rig in odd gears pretty much forever. That would be the least of my concern if everything else is fine.

    Unfortunately you won't have 12th though. You're gonna eat some fuel.

    I agree on this. Should not be a big issue unloaded as long as it does not keep trying to go into the gears.

    Do you have the option of shifting gears manually? I am guessing you do and have tried this and this is how you figured out the issues with the gears?
