Is the dealer the only place to purchase parts for these things?
Does anyone have a parts list to look up part numbers? I've seen a few places cross reference part numbers to fleetguard, i.e oil, fuel filters etc.

    Thanks

Something are the same on all trucks ,like tires brakes some light bulb some oil and fuel filters some not ,trucks are becoming more dealer oriented though good luck in all your adventures .

Make good friends with your parts guy.

And understand that the typical Volvo markup is 100%..... It's good to know when they quote you a cash counter price.

Also look at eBay and Amazon, I purchased a newer set of outside mirrors for my truck off of Amazon

Volvo wanted $600 apiece and I got a pair, brand new for $600 free shipping

Mine just snap on/off. or, you can push up on the mirror glass and remove it, then you can push the tabs on the cover to remove.

Ebay is ok , great prices for some parts like mirrors but engine / emission parts i wouldnt buy anymore.
Here a photo i still have on my phone, 2 years ago i paid about 500$ for this remanufactured EGR cooler, seller with great reviews, 3 times cheaper than Volvo . But after I spent about 7-800$ for installation, was leaking worst than old one.

Yea, I don't have those problems with my truck as it is an '01 with a Cummins engine, and I buy genuine Cummins parts.

Baldwin filters are ok but Fleetguard is the best option for me. Ebay etc have a huge problem with knock offs and counterfeit parts. My personal feeling is not to buy parts thru ebay, it is risky. Downtime is my biggest revenue loss. The cost of filters and most parts is fairly small in relation to lost revenue and the labor on repairs.
