Volvo VED12 Injector Problem

    Coming home the truck was running fine started to miss. pulled over code said number one injector electrical fault. With only about 100 miles to go i pushed on after about 20 miles it cleared up and ran fine. about 30 miles from home it really started running bad now it says injectors 1 ,2 and 3 electrical fault. code is MID 128 SID 1 FMI 5. and it feels like it is only running on 3 cylinders. Any suggestions? The shop close to me can't put it on computer right now and I need some help!!

    usually bad wiring, sometimes ECU

    wires go bad under valve cover. I'd start there.

    Connections on engine go bad too

    sometimes one coil is short and it makes engine ECU disabel bank I.

    What year is engine? they used one coil ore two coil injectors (delphi). I can help with diagram

    It is a 2005. I pulled the valve cover and I don't see any wire problem yet but the number 1 injector has broken spring. Getting ready to pull dog box out and look at wire harness on back of motor .there is alot of oil on the harness.

    check for oil leak in wiring harness
    check engine ECM connector A.

    injectors are collected in banks. I- 1-2-3, II- 4-5-6

    So one common wire per bank

    yes Pablo that would be helpful. What should the voltage be on that common wire?

    Its a 4 prong Delphi i guess thats 2 coil?

    yep, 2 coil

    voltage is about 80 V pulse so u cant check it with AVO meter

    The oil in the harness I have ran into before. Volvos solution is to remove injector harness out of head clean the passthru plug real good and use a two part apoxy and fill the area of the passthru making sure to get the apoxy around all the wires. Install a new sealing o-ring and re install harness.
