Hello, I need help with my 2012 volvo vnl 670, engine d13. It wont start. I was having trouble to start the truck, I checked and found that the starter was bad, so I to a shop where they rebuild it. After that, I putted it back to the truck and tried to started up but it didn't. I only heard a crank (tried 3 times), the dashboard screen and gauges lighted up, like I normal startup, but nothing, . Then, I went back to starter to check the connections where in the right place, which I believe they are and then I tried again to start up the truck but now the dashboard screen and gauges wont start/light up and also no crank sound from the starter, is like there is no electricity coming through. So, I took out the starter and test with the truck batteries and it works fine. I also the cables coming from the batteries to the starter and relay with the ignition on. The cable that goes directly to the starter has power but the one that goes to the relay does not has power at all. Is there a fuse that may blown out? The computer engine or module? How can I find what happened? Thank you

There should be some wires with fuses for the ECM by the batteries, check those.

I have a Volvo Vnl d16 and I don't know where the crankshaft portion sensor is located. Does anyone know where it is located?

Post this in the Volvo section. Better yet, start a new thread. This one is for a different issue than yours and it's a year old.

1) I believe is the engine position sensor located on right side (passenger side) of the engine. If you look at the very back right corner of the cylinder head you’ See it. There’s a heat shield covering it, remove it, unplug the wiring harness, remove the 10mm bolt holding it in place and pull it out. There’s an aluminum washer on it you must put it on the new one before installing it.
2) I believe is the crankshaft position sensor. It’s behind the engine mounted on top of the flywheel housing. Kinder hard to get to due to the piping and wiring you have work around considering your position trying to do this, but you can do it. I’m not a mechanic, just a driver and I’ve done it successfully a few times.
Good luck compadre!Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
....... that POWER On/OFF switch above the batteries corrodes from behind
and you can not see this and will cause issues - just a reminder to include this
in your trouble shooting - it happened to me.
Also - LIFT up your battery cables and check for corrosion !!!!Another Canadian driver, mjd4277 and KB3MMX Thank this. -
