Volvo VNL 670 - No A/C To Sleeper

    Hello all,
    We have an issue with our truck that when we turn on the fan in our sleeper, we only get heat and no A/C whatsoever, although we have the heat turned off on the control console. The dash of the cab works fine, just not the sleeper area. Any recommendations?

    Under your bunk there is a box for the AC in the rear. On the top of that box you have what is called a Stepper Motor. When you turn the control to cold in the sleeper that stepper motor has a valve in it and it turns the fins inside it cutting the hot air off and only allowing the cold air through. For a quick fix, you can take that motor out “it’s only two star screws” and find you something to hold the fins closed. You just won’t have heat.

    Thank you for this. Our truck is missing the stepper motor, but I found the valve you're talking about and that fixed the issue for now.
