    I know this is an old post, but my truck has the exact specs as your truck with the exact same problem. I am getting 4.1 to 4.5 mpg on light loads and cruising at 68 mph @1400 RPM. did you figure out what the problem was?

    Well, I will say the faster you go, the more fuel you burn. try slowing down to 65mph. Also depending upon the age of your truck, you might want to clean your DPF and change out your sensors that relate to engine management. Also, Check your EGR
