Volvo vnl d12 j1939 data link erratic no communication

This how it looks could that have been the reason

 

I'm not sure what that is. How are the battery terminals? Clean and tight.
What was the resistance between pins C and D in the data connector with the key off.

 

It's one of the power supply wire from the starter and with key off pin C 0.46 and pin D 0.47

 

The reading between C and D with the key off should be very close to 60 Ohms.

 

Those the reading i was getting

 

0.46 and 0.47 those look like voltages. You need to set the multimeter on the Ohm scale.

 

Which setting is that on mines

Ok i got it ill do it tomorrow also if it reads the like voltage or wrong voltage what direction and iam looking to go in by chance

 

The resistance with the key off should be 60 Ohms plus or minus maybe 5 Ohms.
