I searched and couldn't find what I was looking for.

    I have a 2007 Volvo Vnl. Last 6 of vin is 460603.
13 sp manual with a Cummins Isx.

I was having abs issues 2 weeks ago where the abs light for the tractor and TCS light would come on only when it was raining. I was able to clear the codes from the dash and run no issues. Last week it got worse and I wasn't able to clear the codes anymore... It was raining and the lights were on, I told the shop... It sat too long and as soon as they moved the truck (sunny and everything dried out) the lights turned off... The next day the lights stopped coming on at all. They don't come on with the key. And the valves were no longer popping and hissing. No system at all... No light.

Rear axle right sensor was throwing a code so it got replaced. Second axle right was throwing a code and the wiring end for the connector plug was corroded so it also got replaced. It is supposed to rain tomorrow so we will see if those were actually or completely the issue.

They hooked the computer up and all systems check out fine. Power checks out fine. Ohms check out fine.
And now you can hear the valves checking with the key and the TCS light comes on during the check but.... No abs light.

When you do the telltale test in the dash they light up, they just stopped coming on with the key.

Right now.... Shop said "I have never seen this before and maybe it will randomly start working again." I am also going to try a different cluster or two to see if possibly somehow something has gone wrong with it.

Has anyone ever had or heard of this before? System working fine.. Lights come on with telltale test of the cluster, but they don't come on while the system is doing it's obvious audible check?

    Frustrated and desperate for ideas....

And I'm horrible at all things electrical, but the shop is not....

Your problem sounds similar to the problem we have with our T680's, and you are on the right track with ABS sensors failing. We have 6 2020/2021 T680's, 4 of them have had ongoing issues with ABS sensors failing in wet conditions, especially heavy rain or slush, or driving through deep standing water. IT seems to happen completely at random, times when you think it will happen it doesn't then when you don't expect it to happen it does. On my 2021, 3 of 6 sensors have been replaced and a couple of the plugs replaced for corrosion, on one of the others it happens at random and now based on the recent codes it looks like it may need a new ABS module.

Did you record any of the codes it was throwing when abs/tcs issue pops up? These issues are frustrating a.f. I feel your pain

I'll bet it's something as simple a rubbed wire(s) in the chassis harness somewhere. It usually is with Volvos. I would examine the harness from the big plug at the back of the cab, back, and try to identify any pinch points from zap straps etc

If you swap clusters, they are not plug and play fyi. You will have to program the new cluster to the truck if you swap it out to try

Still trying to figure out this website and how the background works.

The abs was a plug that was corroded. The issue was the lights on the dash not coming on with the key after the abs was fixed.

Turns out... They accidentally shut off the lights from the laptop when they were running diagnostics on a test drive.

When I got back to the shop and asked for the clusters to try them... "no, its okay, I got it"..

2 hours later.. I get a text that I'm all good and the lights were just disabled.
