I currently drive a volvo. The batterys, and starter have been replaced in last six months. The red battery warning light just came on today but voltage readout says it stays steady while driving between 13.6-14 volts. While sitting stays between 13.8-14.1 volts. While going from stop at red light to speed limit pulled a little too hard and truck shut down then i restarted it without a problem. Does this mean the alternator is starting to go bad or a possible connection error in the electrical assembly?

Check ground cables, especially the one from your starter to your frame. Clean really good, posibbly replace it if it's questionable. Check your power supply to ecm. Look over wire harness really close, especially at points where it twists and turns or goes over/ makes contact the frame and etc -
This is in the ELog and ELD section. Do you suspect an ECM plug problem (as provided by your eLog device provider) is causing this?

Now the light has turned off and intermittently turn back on then go back off. As far as the keeptruckin eld units connection to the ecm. Before this issue started occuring i had disconnected it and reconnected it to the ecm. I did this because my phone said they werent connected. I foind out it was actually me updating the applicarion on my phone. If this is the entire cause what could i do to keep it from happening? Such aa use my can of compressed air and blow on the connector?

I am trying to find out if anyone has ever dealt with a pulley belt issue and air dryer/filter. It is a 780 and I am looking for possible price and possible labor costs?
