Crazyjack, do they have age requirements for tractor? also, if you don't mind..what is a general pay amount per week after fule etc.?
-
I'm not sure about the age requirements on tractor, when i started it was no restrictions as long as your tractor is dot compliant and can pass dot and in-house inspections. You can call recruiting to ask what are the current requirements, because this company don't play around (because of that we have no problems on scales).
And as far as the weekly pay is a tricky question. Depending on the market and on how hard i run i usually get over 3k a week after fuel. If i push it i can get 4k+. And of course if i don't start till Tuesday and want to be back home Friday morning "no matter what" then you know....

Crazy jack.are you still doing good there at voyager?I live in Florida and thinking about going to call them and see what's up.If you don't mind where you live and where are you running to as far as what states?Any extra info would be great. Thanks
-
Crazy jack are you still with voyager? Are you going to east cost?
-
Sorry guys, i don't come on here 2 often. I live in Wisconsin, and yes i'm still here. Business as usual mostly mid-west and south-east runs. I do take some east coast loads here and there, you know... money talks...
First quarter was a little slow, but its getting back to normal,- later than usual,- but better late than never... LOL. -
I'm not very good on changing companies, and they never gave me a reason for it. I have been doing some east coast loads lately since mid-west was kinda slow. Have to make money one way or another.
As an owner operator you don't have to take anything you don't want.
Hope this helps. Take care. -
Hey Crazyjack, I'm currently leased to a company that grosses me about 41-4300 a week 5 days a week. I'm payed 574 miles a day and 50 a stop @3 stops. I'm wondering if I can make the same money there at voyager? I live about 50 miles west of Atlanta. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

If the company you work for is doing same type of work as we do here, my guess is that the numbers will be very close. Recently I've read the article on this subject about different trucking companies, it was so truthful and straight to the point. I will try to find it again and post the link below, if this forum rules will allow to do it.
Good luck my friend.

Crazyjack
Are you still with voyager. I am thinking of leasing on with them. I talked with a lady by the name Agatha she said they don't have trailer rental but charges a fee of $50 a week for trailer maintenance. What other fees do they take out. If u don't mind me asking why r u bringing home each week on average. Thanks in advance for responding
