I'm looking for a ready-to-fit/install center unit to replace the current unit with the ash tray/lighter. I dont have any cup holders and since I dont smoke...the current one is about only useful for holding a pen!

    any thoughts?

You could get a Pete center console that goes between the seats...has two cup holders and few other storage deals... kind gets in the way when you enter the bunk but it's not too bad.

I don't have a photo but the stock one in my truck has a cup holder and is quite a bit bigger than that.

I've never even seen one like that one in your truck.

Gee...theres a surprise. :biggrin_2556: - something else that doesnt add up.
Well I want to get rid of this stupid thing. I mean its useless since i dont smoke. I figured something nice that might be easy to install/mount and provide some storage (maybe) and at least 2 big gulp BLADDER BUSTER cup holders or something.

Never seen one like this ...All 3 of mine had the cubby hole UNDER the cup holders .This must of been a special ordered truck to have this in it....And by the way here is a couple web sites to check out for acc. for the truck .empirechromeshop.com and 4statetrucks.com they have the best selections for a W9 But it will come in real wood for that section which is better all the way around

The first pic is a factory KW cup holder form a 90's truck, the second is a custom made unit. My T-600 had the factory unit, and it didn't hold big cups very well.

Well it was a fleet truck originally from a now-defunct company. They had it for it's 1st 400k miles and sold it....

It had NO radio it in either as a fleet truck. I cant even imagine that.

sorta like my 1st car. 1987 Chevy S10 pickup. Brand new. $6850. Not even a cig lighter!!

I like the wood design as long as it matches (As close as possible) the dash fake wood trim. My wife likes that look...and we need to keep the women happy.. or :biggrin_2556:

Minwax stain is your friend. The factory wood tone is burl wood. You won't match that, but you can get the color close.

Any big truck wrecking yard should have the kenworth unit, and seeing as how they are not a highly sought after item it shouldnt cost too much. Id check that route out first.
