Again, you are going to take off from a new job, drive back to where you used to work and go to court? You can probably net more just working at your next job. Your logic makes no sense, unless we are talking a large amount of money, to which they would not be in small claims court. Are you thinking this through?

You're answering a question that was not asked.

Read the OP. They asked if the company can just take money out of their paycheck for a tow bill. The answer is no. Whether or not someone would decide to sue their company for doing this is a whole 'nother thread entirely.

But they did take it out, and we were discussing his options, and none of them were feasible. They know he can do nothing about it that won't cost him more time, money and trouble than it is worth. He was also in the wrong in what he did. You don't just leave a truck parked for 4 days without talking to the property owner. The cops cannot give him permission to do something. In this case the company has every right to recoup their money for his lack of judgement.

Depending on the state he can sue for punitive damages in the amount of 3 times the loss. But that depends on the state.

No the entire OP went right over yours. You took off on your own branch of the tree and insist on staying there. Have fun.

I bet if we took a vote you wouldn't do well at all. You are glued to this "being right" syndrome no matter how impossible it would be to fight a company over this. Win a battle, lose a war. You are thick.
