So I arrived at my final destination only to find out that there was a schedulIng error and they won’t unload the trailer for another 90-120 min. My question is do I log off duty or sleeper until they unload? Also do I have to bzck on duty while they’re unloading.

Me? I log 5-10 minutes immediately "On Duty Unloading" then go to "Sleeper" and stay there until I leave. Unless you have to be on the dock then that may be a different situation for you.

I asked a DOT officer once about this. He said: if you are in your bunk reading a book, playing on your phone...etc etc.. you are in the sleeper... if you’re not an active participant in the loading or unloading you are not on duty.. log it like you do it! Been doing it that way for 14 years now! Never had a problem
