Just going with the name of the thread here. Last week I spoke to a friend of mine that called the Pete dealer about a new truck. A nicely specced 579 with stand up/ mid roof (we pull tanks) was right at $250k with a 9 month wait. That is a truck with a cummins and 18 speed. A 389 would start at $15k-$20k higher than that. The special edition 389 supposedly starts at $300k.
Waiting on New Trucks thread.

May I ask when that was? This was for prices starting the new year which are higher than the current order price that was told came out in October. He was told all the current price slots were already taken though. I'm sure this isn't the lowest price because it seems like dealers farther south always have prices that are a bit better, but that's just what he was told. I have a 2020 579 w/ 54 inch flat top and was considering ordering a new one, but I think I'll just run what I have and make a permanent emissons fix if the need arises.

They also don't get covered in schmutz during the winter.
The fuel economy difference is stark as well. I don't remember the numbers, but dumping the 'real' mirrors and just running the camera mirrors pay for the system within a year and a bit. -

From a perspective of an average Joe....
$4000-4500. For that, today, you have to run 2000 - 2500 miles and buy fuel not exceeding $4.5 per gal. So that's a full week and your 70 hour clock gets dry by the end of it.
You think, you're better from an average Joe?!
You think you can go on a date with a Victoria Secret model?
Really?!
OK. Go for it!BigCam9670 Thanks this. -
I am not too sure how that fuel saving factor matters...Does it?! With a long hual it may get significant but does it?
I am trying to run as little as possible and spend as many nights in my own bed as I can vs in a truck sleeper.
Do you really see that 8.0 mpg or is it overstated?
