That’s it. I like it. 288WB especially. Dash looks abused. I had those seats. They’re cheap, hated them. Being an 04, I think it’s pre Acert. No price. Probably high. Not worth over $60k. $50k would be a decent deal IMO. Looks good. It is a 20 yr. old Truck. Not going to be perfect. I bet they’re asking $75k. If the frames not rusted out, be a good buy at $55k tops in todays market.

Pick it apart just like you’re standing in front of the man looking at it as a potential purchase.

Let’s face it, it’s the right color- but the glass is too curved for what I do.

Agree. I wouldn't even spend 50K on it.

I'm looking for a 96-2000 W9. No rush, so I have time to find the right one.

Why 96-2000? Just curious. Because of the Cats available then? I stopped paying attention to them about that time. Helped a friend make a deal on a 95 w/ 3406E. Very nice Truck. 3 yr old Truck w/ less than 400k miles. $60k back then. Traded a worthless junk T600. Drove out O dn. $1200 mo for 48 mos. What a deal. 6 mos later He died in that Truck. I considered taking it over to help his wife out. Couldn’t do it. I always liked the 92-93 w/ narrow hood/grill, and the old style bunk. Almost bought a red one w/ Detroit in it back then. Like to have it now.

With the 95, it's almost impossible to find one with the aerocab. Most have the standard cab with the boot. It's just too small for me and my long legs. I did it in my W900A, and it was cramped with the seat to the wall. Better and more room than the Mack R models I drove when rigging/moving equipment/heavy hauling, but there's nothing like the aerocab, where the seat goes back into the sleeper and there's plenty of headroom.

I like the N14, Series 60 and the 1MM Cat's (3406's in general are good engines). They're cheaper to rebuild and last longer than the current engines with less headaches even when repairing under warranty. Mileage between new and old W9's isn't that much different. I don't mind wrenching, but I'd rather rebuild everything that needs it in the beginning so I am not one piecing it at a time and in turn I'm minimizing down time by doing it once and doing it right.

Makes sense. That one we bought must have been a 96. It had 3406e 435 hp. Areocab. It was burgundy. Sharp Truck. It’s fun to look when you know exactly what you want, and have time on your side.
