I’ve never been inside one, but, the cabs appear really small; short and narrow.

Interesting stock # big cons. I drove one with smoked bunked glass and the bed/sofa combo it was awesome when the kids were along because sofa had seat belts . That truck had a nice bunk set up but so many heater and wiper problems if you drove in salt ..not to mention hood wearing through by hood straps . PS why a bearing roll 350k ago on a 750 k truck . Ecm reads much higher I suspect.

A carrier in my neck of the woods recently took delivery of some 579s equipped with PACCAR engines. Currently 5 of them are down and in the shop. The owner told Peterbilt to come get them as he's not paying for them unless they replace them with Cummins engines. Peterbilt sent a representative out and looks like they are replacing them with Cummins engines.

I know you new trucks aren't immune to issues but 5 seems to be more than an isolated issue.

I’d be curious to know the details because my friend with the tanker company has had to overhaul one mx13 versus 3 x15’s in the last year. And the mx13 had just under 500k on it and the x15’s were all under 300k.

Are they the 510 or the 450?

I'm not 100% sure but they run more of your O/O type equipment so I'm guessing they went with the 510.
