That's awful. Pull your hair out awful.

Not near as bad, but still wanting to kick the dog irritating: we picked up the new t680 two weeks ago and sent it off on our regular run to Portland and Seattle. Made it to Burley, and the driver calls me "she shut off on me, I could barely get her to the side of the road. Acted like it was out of fuel".

Sure enough, fuel gauge said half full, but no fuel in the tanks. Faulty sending unit. To their credit, Kenworth jumped right on it the moment the wrecker got to the dealership in Heyburn and had it running within an hour or so, and paid for the tow. Made it sting a little less.

I know everybody laughs at a Freightliner with a Detroit but me ol my they sure seem to have it going on with the modern diesels.

I suspect Peterbilt might be able to, or steal some from pending builds.

The rest of my friend’s 389’s coming this year had to have a Paccar or else he wasn’t going to get them. But he’s to the point he was ok with that. Getting the X15 in a couple of 990’s didn’t seem to be an issue for him though.

I bet it all depends on what HP. I’m sure the 565HP is sold out be because that’s what everyone wants in a 389. It might be easier to get a 450HP or 500HP.

Rideandrepair and Long FLD Thank this.

I wish the company im with would entertain the idea of them. It’s not so much the Detroit it’s the trucks they come in, unfortunately.
