I think for less than 10K I could come up with a good solar system that would work fine. That will be my plan next truck instead of what I have now.

Mechanicals are cool but they'll never get close to the mpg of new trucks. The highest IFTA we've had with this is 6.34

I'm surprised you guys with 389s are under 6 or right at 6ish. This isn't exactly aerodynamic being a midroof.

The 99 in my avatar is right around the same. Brick wall aerodynamics being a flat top but a fully electronic E-7 it gets the same mpg. If it was a midroof I bet it would get close to 7. That's running local with minimal idle time pulling a van

Looks good! Why the 20k lift axle instead of a tri-drive?

    Fuel mileage!

75% of the time the tire will be off the ground.

My 2 other tri drives average 3.5 MPG :(

I figured you had the tri’s for going north of the border. I can see wanting to get an axle off the ground if you’re in the states a lot.

2 months and the dealership messed up a few after market things …. They literally put a bunk heater in the middle of the driver side jockey box *facepalm*

now they get to move it to the center.

Feedman, D.Tibbitt, Siinman and 2 others Thank this.

Kind of a fancy interior too! Quite an upgrade from the old girls.

    They are pretty nice looking!

It doesn't appear as if your fifth wheel slide goes far enough forward to utilize the heavy front end and 20K lift axle.

    IH9300SBA and Feedman Thank this.
