Not an owner, but the national lease company is sitting with trucks out going on 6 years and having to repair them as the replacements were cancelled and otherwise delayed. Cascadias and T 680s are what they run.
The T 680s they can have. They like Cummins but our Cascadias are DD15 Detroits purchased from an entity no longer a Nationallease affiliate. And with manual transmissions.
Waiting on New Trucks thread.

The local Taylor Martin auction was bursting at the seams last week. Even more so than the last time I commented on it.

Keep getting text messages from this number. Price drop is pretty significant since April
dwells40, Magoo1968, Kenworth6969 and 4 others Thank this. -
Wow!!! That is significant. It's gonna be a blood bath before it gets better? -
That’s a 20% drop.
One nice thing Hyundai offers are extruded protection rails. No one else has developed a package like this. It just about eliminates corner damage, top to bottom, which is the biggest issue in drop lots.
Feedman, gentleroger, Siinman and 4 others Thank this. -
Why buy a trailer to haul fuel money loads when you can do power only for fuel money loads.
Feedman, PPLC, ducnut and 1 other person Thank this. -

The manufacturer drop lots are pinched for space and really set up more for yard dogs than a road tractors. Most of these places you can’t even begin to get between the trailers. Our policy is to leave a couple inches under the landing gear pads, so when we inflate the bags, we can pull the trailer out of the hole to crank up the landing gear. Our tractors are spec’d with 5th wheel ramps on the rear of the frame rails just for this.
If you look at the rear corners of a dry van, typically there’s an overhang with an angled support piece on each corner. That’s a can opener. They cut the upper, front corners straight open. Hinges poke into the corner cap, which rips them open.
This was at JBS, the other night. Tandems must be slid back and the driver next to it simply didn’t account for it. Plenty of room to pull straight out, before making the cut. The worst part is this is a really nice trailer (EBT don’t have junk). Unfortunately, it’s too common.
This is one I hooked onto. Someone got into it. The bits were lying on the ground.
RedForeman, Feedman, Magoo1968 and 5 others Thank this.
