You probably can leave in less than a year, but might owe them some money which they will send a bill in the mail. Sometimes they don't even bother.
Start looking for your next flatbed job early and one that lets you take the wife. Maybe need a passport card, TWIC,hazmat? You'll have plenty of time to prepare for your next job.

Abilene Motor Express is good for teams and also has rider & pet policy. Quite a few husband/wife teams there.
