    May be, Flatbed. When I posted this exciting moment in the life of an OTR driver, it was just for the story, maybe for some ideas on regaining control of my rig. Later, I did wonder if I was looking for the pat on the back. So, whatever, thanks a lot!

    Danny, Xsetra, thanks for your thoughts. Mashing the brake is a fun little laugh, but mashing fuel in a skid is a guarantee of at lease a 360. You gotta cut back before the spin gets too far along. That's why I tapped the brakes, Danny, the momentum toward the median and the other side oncoming traffic was pretty strong. It got me out of there undamaged, but I've read your post a couple times, and if I get a chance I'd be delighted to run that skid pad training you mention. Gotta be better than I-35, even on Saturday morning.
