What's going to happen with this is that Wal-Mart is going to take over the logistics of getting the freight from their customers dock to their DC's. It may be on a Wal-Mart truck, or it may be on the same truck that hauled it before, only now that truck is being hired by Wal-Mart to deliver the load, not the shipper.

Good point! That's the way I usually approach a store is from the back dock area and park on the side. -

Walmart in Aurora, CO has an area set aside for truck parking...and it's not bad if you can keep the RV's in their own parking spot. I have taken my 10 a few times at that one in Rochester, NY but I park back by the docks as close to the side as I can get so the delivery trucks can get in and out. Bradenton, FL does not like trucks to park on the lot, but they've never given me any trouble for parking while I'm bobtail. I think they just don't want loaded trailers in the lot...or trailers at all. There are a lot of tree islands in that lot.
Speaking of RV's...did anyone else notice the RV sitting comfortably in that lot on the other side of that truck bar in the photo? -
Actually there are quite a few china marts that have what I call "head bangers" to keep the truckers out.

simple solution:
Drive a truck that will clear a 12'6" obstacle. Then those 12'6" bars won't matter. -
one thing to consider, is that the pavement may not be up to the task of an 18 wheeler, they may be sick of the more scummy drivers leaving trash everywhere ( pee bottles mainly ) they may have had damage done to customers cars by big rigs..
While i agree that provisions being made would be ideal, it bears investigation as to why the actions have been done, rather than just jumping up and down..
there may be perfect justification for anger, but there may be reasonable grounds also.simplyred1962 Thanks this. -
Probably not the right Wal Mart to go off on. Red X is where the picture was taken and red squares = truck parking.

the list, of course, goes on to pretty much infinity. Yes. SCUM IS EVERYWHERE. I've also met quite a few people I liked of every of the above listed folks. Even new york people, yes.
