The actual content of the paperwork he had filled out & signed wasn't provided by the OP.
We can't say one way or the other if it was part of the drug test paperwork.
But by his statement, he did say the drug test was the next step. -
I used to attend a lot of RE seminars, academic and 'retail'. The retail usually had a couple hour teaser and money-back guarantee. One spouted that if you left before 11 am the first day, they'd tear up your credit card receipt. Going in I had their continental breakfast and confirmed the guarantee, "Yes, but you won't want to leave," I was told. About 2 minutes to 11 I got up in front of about 400 people, smiled and walked out. At the sign-up table for this 'greed is good' workshop, the same guy gave me his best sneer. "You never intended to stay, did you?" "Nope," I said, "What of it?" He very dramatically tore my receipt up into little pieces and threw it all up in the air. Confetti!
My sister went to time-share presentations. Brought the other sister along just in case. So at the time to get up and walk out point, the recruiter/salesman sneers at her, "You can't afford it." Hit her button. The other sister couldn't hold her back. She bought the time-share 'to show him'.
/Now Mr. PackRat, let's get right down to your very fishy business, shall we? Your DAC is going to show that you lied on your application as it should, right? Oh, come, come, Miiiiisssster PackRAT!! Really! Had you filled out your financial statement truthfully, you would have disclosed that you had funds to return home and Swift wouldn't have brought you here, now would they???
That GENEROUS bus ticket is a ONE-WAY ticket, Mr. PackRat. You accepted it and that made you Swift CHATTEL, didn't it, Mr. PackRat?? Come, come, Mr. PackRat, Swift OWNS you, you don't fire Swift. You leave here and you FAILED, Mr. PackRat, FAILED, FAILED, FAILED.
You LIED, Mr. PackRat about not having money to get home, didn't you????? Mr. PackRat?? What? Ugh! Mr. PackRat, your MOTHER gave you MONEY to get home??? Ugh! I REST my CASE. -
I know you all are going to get on my case but I dont care...Im not so much worried you walked out on Prime. I didnt like them when they came to my school. What concerns me is that you didnt man up and tell them you were leaving. Every job I left I have told them I was leaving. If you didnt want to be there you should of just told them. I was raised to believe that if you are going to be man enough to quit be man enough to tell them. Just my two cents.
goblue Thanks this. -
Then tell that to PackRat, too, Buckeye. Doesn't bother me at all.
Msg #54 PackRat said about leaving Swift orientation:
Serious there but otherwise has the best sense of humor in the TTR house. -
I think if we get a little beat box going this could be top 40...
-
Yeah I read it. I get it dont bother most people but for me just rubs me the wrong way. I left some jobs and everytime I did I always told them even when I didnt want to.
-
Well not passing me on the physical pretty much sealed the deal that my continuing in orientation was not happening. Besides the doctor told me to get those two issues fixed before continuing and since neither was going to get fixed in Phoenix, well you can see where I'm going with that.
All Swift was out was my bus ticket and one night at the motel. I imagine Swift spends more than that every hour paying for everything their freshman drivers bump into, lol.
Besides, can't quit a job if you haven't been hired to begin with, right? -
If you failed the physical that is one thing though I would have at least told them, but that is not as bad as the op just disappearing and taking paperwork and everything with you.
-
Prime would have kicked him to the curb in a nano-second if they decided he wasn't suitable for any reason whatsoever... likely with a security escort and being threatened with trespass if he so much as turned around to look. He doesn't owe them squat... and you can be guaranteed Prime doesn't care either. The only thing the OP was concerned about was if someone at Prime would be vindictive enough to ding his DAC.
