Hey guys
I am not a trucker now but have been exposed to trucking my whole life. I currently own a small buisness and I'm looking to sell out due to the fact that I have an awesome opportunity with a local company to do all their hauling, problem is I have no idea how to come up with prices for a day cab and walking floor trailer. I also could use some info on who will finance me, Is there anyone out there giving loans to a new trucking company???? Any help on figures to help me price out loads would be appreciated.

Are you sure you're ready to start this new venture? If someone offered you this deal and you don't know how to price out your services/equipment/loans etc., You need to investigate a lot more, right? But, you have to start somewhere, so, first off, price your equipment from a dealer to get ideas, such as new or used and requirements to get a loan. Then somehow, find out the going rates for the product you intend to haul. Will the shipper inform you or is it a bid type deal? Find out about insurance/registration/permits etc. Is it possible to run a shift yourself and then hire a driver to run another shift if the operation is 24/7? :smt024
