    I may be crazy, but I'd hazard a guess that 48' doubles could go most places on the major interstate system. I can think of a whole lot of roads every bit as wide open as the NY Thruway and Masspike, where 48' doubles would work wonderfully. Of course, this assumes a competent driver piloting them around....
