Driver was going 65 mph in a 45 mph zone, according to some he drove from his home in Georgia to Delaware and then went on duty. 20 mph over the speed limit when the impact occurred . Wow. He's going to jail.

Not surprising, drivers of governed trucks feel the need to be up against the governer at all times no matter the speed limit..

"Driver was going 65 mph in a 45 mph zone..."
Inconceivable. -
Not surprising. Seems most trucks are pushing the vehicle in front and tailgating in the construction zones because they do not want to slow down. Not all are governed trucks either.

I can say i was guilty of this when a company driver governed at 62 always at 62. Now i pay my fuel alwaus at 60

Everybody does a few miles above the posted speed limit especially cars but 20 and in a construction zone,no excuse for it.
Knucklehead619, Vito, 48Packard and 2 others Thank this. -
No excuse is right, and it doesn't help anyone, but I have to wonder if all of those people in that limo would have walked away if they had belts/harnesses on? Always wondered how limo's got away with that?
Marksteven, passingthru69, Colorato and 1 other person Thank this. -

Wow, the news just keeps getting better and better from this guy. Thanks for another black eye on the profession. Yes, I go over the speed limit, but never in a construction zone. It's not worth the fine and points, not to mention the better chance of killing someone.

That's a very good question.
