It does.... it varies by DC the amount. It’s a per day rate... as stated above the dc near my house was $1000 a day plus fsc..... whether you run that day or not

You would be wrong. When we need surge drivers that is right about the going rate to the truck. Most company guys are around the $200 in pay. I used to pull out of Tobyhanna for Barr-Nunn @195 a day or any part of a day.

those are the right figures on the 900 and 1000 ( some areas are higher ) wally uses landstar to fill in when the have a shortage of drivers or extra volume to move .... used to happen in the fall seems like it is a lot more often these days .... krogers does this a lot especially during the summer and around the holidays ( they pay better and useu ally not many miles ) ... but there are a lot of companies that use landstar this way ... if they need us on Friday. . they don't have to worry about getting us something to do next week. ... this isn't a replacement for the wallm art drivers it's just a fill in. ......... now those mega carriers you're noticing hanging around the dc are definitely after your jobs ...... but as far as the landstar bcos. .... really not after your jobs it just don't pay enough lol

Dave_in_AZ, drvrtech77 and nikmirbre Thank this.
