Okay to be fair, suppose these are setup at a dock that becomes congested? You've checked the 5th wheel and deem is safe to move out of the way to another part of the lot to finish the inspection. Can that lead to false assumptions just because the truck is seen pulling away from the dock camera?
WalMart drivers word to the wise...

I assume your a walmart driver? Don't you make like $100,000 per year. If all I had to do was do a double walk around and just drive from DC to Store then sign me up.markealy, darthanubis, mwhjr1988 and 2 others Thank this.

They must be doing this after all the incidents where people of been crushed under the wheels of the trailer at the loading docks. I think there was at least three of them this year alone.
-
Logs and parking lot cameras should help there. Also, it almost should never happen as the stores are rarely that busy. And when they are, the next guy can just wait the 15 minutes. We aren't talking several hours here....firemedic2816, Eddiec and foggy Thank this.

Sounds like a great tool to use for getting rid
Of drivers they don't want.
Or, makes it easier to thin the herd during slow times.
It's a bunch of bull.
I've yet, in my 25 years, seen any driver, for any company,
At any time, do a full pre trip inspection.
If they say they did they're lying.
Except for on TTR, all of us on here do a full
Pre trip inspection every day, twice a day.
Even when we get that last parking spot on the
Get off ramp, at 2am, dead tired, with the truck 2
Foot from highway traffic, will get out and climb
Under truck, in the pouring rain and check our
Slack adjusters and manually adjust our brakes.
Then we do a horn test and a air leak test,
Then we check all our fluids
Then we take a tire gauge and check every tire on
The truck, and if one is a few pounds off, we make
Not of it on our e- logs and report it to safety.
Then we go to bed covered in dirt, then get up
In the morning and it all over again.
All that sounds no more crazy, then everybody claiming
They do a full pre trip inspection every day.
Stop lying.Knucklehead, CorsairFanboy, bentstrider83 and 20 others Thank this. -
You have to work here to understand this warning. It is not catching a driver not pre tripping...It is 18 different rituals to do each time you drop and hook. This includes...not backing in to a slot until u get out of the truck and walk around the space a full 360 deg...getting under the trailer to check brakes and under carriage and other suspension parts....flashlight the fifth wheel from behind...etc. Ask anyone who tried to get on here about the pti test. Remember this is rain or shine, dark or day...searcy or Chicago.... The company has set a goal of 11% turnover and after Joe's last broadcast, I feel they will target the older drivers. So, for those of you not working here, this warning will not make any sense...judging from the replies...doesn't make sense to troll drivers either.
All you drivers who entertain themselves spreading hate and discontent, making smart remarks, shining you IQ's...have a blessed night.
