Dc? If so all dcs will not let you park on their property. Store? Up to the manager or city ordnance laws.

Do they have any signs posted regarding overnight parking, etc.? I was just at the Walmart in Muscatine, IA last week for a day's parking, and they had signs posted saying, "No truck parking".... yet there were at least a dozen trucks parked for their 10's and there were no hassles.

At any rate, thanks for the heads up regarding this particular WM.

It is a store. They send there security around to run us off. It has signs just like almost all Walmarts THESE days. Sam didn't do us this way.

There is no city ordinance and here's the twist. One of my companies driver's in our truck pulling a Walmart trailer gets to stay.

Yeah, and used to be we didn't trash up their lots, back over signs, park just any old place, etc. We have caused a lot of the parking problem ourselves.

Yes, I think if more drivers were more considerate of the parking PRIVILAGE there would be fewer objections.

I mean, how hard is it to put your trash in the TRASH CAN?
How hard is it to go into a 24-hour store to pee, instead of doing it on the lot? Or to use a bottle?

How difficult is it to simply be responsible and courteous?

Or is that TOO much to ask from slob truck drivers!!!???

Its pretty simple. Shop where drivers are supported, avoid those places that don't. I believe we ought to support the places that provide for us. Its the only way they stay in business. I know they may be Walmart, but they need your business too.

And yes, not trashing the place with litter and carelessness helps.

Stores I can see, but the DC's are a shame. They should let us park to get a break when they run us out of hours. I had plenty of time once to get unloaded and then get to the nearby TS but they detained me for 6 hours and then I couldn't drive. Jerks tried to run me off, but I stayed.

The company driver pulling a walmart trailer was dedicated. Most stores will let you park if your doing such that. The dc's, sorry to say, will always run you off. Its a warehouse and logistics center, not a truck stop. The DCs have more going on at times than the stores do. It is also a safety and lose prevention issue.

Now for the stores security, that as I said before is up to the manager, property owner and city. I have to agree with Moosetec13.
