Spent over 10hrs yesterday stuck on the interstate trying to get into St Louis. Got about 500 miles, 1 stop, and 10.5hrs of delay. Missouri does not know how to deal with snow.

remember sam once said. if we all work together we all save together. i use to say no to everything. no i dont touch stickers, no i dont touch this, no i dont sweep trailers. if it will get me out and gone faster, then i must do it. remember you are your check/gross. the biggest problem you will run into are pallets. remember if you have a trailer with pallets that was called/emailed the same day. then find manager(store manager or co manager) nothing less. tell him/her that you have a backhaul and that you have to have a empty. they must get pallet email confirmation back to load pallets

Thanks for clarifying, the bulkheads were what they were referring to. Never hauled multi zone reefer, so don’t know much about it. I’ll be at a GM DC, but I’m sure I’ll see one at one point or another.

Won’t we get in trouble if they find out we swept or touched freight?

Lol, I’m looking forward to something different. Just not looking forward to being gone a week. But it’s a sacrifice im willing to make. At least if I decide to return to my current employer I’ve got a year before I lose my seniority.

You can do it! The first time you feel like a fish out of water; lol; but after that: it’s all good... my problem is: I’m a shorty...lol.. if the guy who used the reefer trailer before you was 6 foot and I’m 5’4... lol... I can’t reach the cords to bring up the bulkhead... so, I’ve learned to have my 5th wheel puller with me so I can reach the cord... lol

It will be worth it! You fleet drivers make GREAT $$$$$! I’m just a lowly dedicated driver( I have A dog I have to take care of) so, I make a lot less... but, it’s all good...
