With such an emphasis on equal rights today, a big company like Walmart can't afford to discriminate. I think tattoos are disgusting, but many people have them, and it doesn't affect their ability to drive a truck. Besides, who else is applying for these jobs today?

How Walmart drivers take a shower?
    Fuel the truck. Truck stops?
    The trucks have a fridge?
    What time you guys drive/work?
Can you guys do a 8/2 split?
Does Walmart give you guys ( slip seat ), cleaning stuff for the truck?
    Thanks.

    Shower at the distribution center.
Same (mostly) for fuel, but we do have fuel cards
We mostly work days, start time/day varies. Some start as early as 6am, some start 9am. It varies.
    8/2 split? No.
All trucks are supposed to have fully stocked cleaning kits. Truck wash and vacuums at distribution centers.

    Thanks for the reply.
So the showers are like a gym shower. All the employees from the distribution centers use it?
Refrigerators? I think I heard someone saying that trucks have it.
I was invited to start orientation, but I am kind worried about the virus. Orientation I will be closer to others. After that spend time closer to a trainer in a truck. I know I will be sleeping in a hotel during my training on the road.

Just drivers, not others. At this point, I believe all trucks have refrigerators.

I asked my recruiter how Walmart was dealing with Corona on training. So I asked if I had to sleep in the same truck with the trainer, that's when he told me the hotel for me and no pay ($42.00) for the night. I am starting next month.

I followed up with my recruiter and what I was told is pretyy much the same thing but with a couple of twists. If the mentor wants to take my truck during mentoring then I would sleep in the truck and he would be in the motel. If he opts to take his own truck then he's in the sleeper and I get the motel.
    C'mon his truck~!

What do you mean your own truck? Make sure you get paid to sleep in your truck.
Will be a good ride from home-work-home. I have to ask this question if Walmart will pay some of my driving to work time. I know they will pay the orientation travel, I think, but my question will be after hired. Will they continue reimbursing my home-work-home travel. Also is a good 130 miles drive, will that count on my HOS?
I don't think you can make 80 to 90K around the Northeastern States. I don't expect to make this much on my first year. I have to learn how this active pays work. I will be driving to Maine, Maryland, Virginia and if I heard right N. Carolina. Will I drive down or up doing drop/hook trailers along my way there, or sometimes you drive straight to the destination? That sucks because N. Caroline, as an example, is like 9-10 hours drive and that kills any actives pay out, right.
My recruiter told me 5-2 schedule, but then later someone from the location told me schedules to bid on are 5-2, 6-3 nights, so I am guessing you bid whatever is needed to them.
Let us know how you will be doing there, and after on the road. Be safe.

when you are driving to work in your personal vehicle it is off duty time. You do not get paid for it...like any other job.

It is pretty easy to make 80-90 in the northeast. As long as you are willing to drive and maximize your hours everyday. When I was at Wally World, I worked 4.5 days a week and was making 92 easily. Many guys (that I personally know) are making 6 figures.
