Wanna be gone before July

Have you checked with Prime or Knight? I know both of those pay during training. JPT does too but I am not sure if they hire from SC since they are located out west but wouldn't hurt to ask.

 

May want to consider going to a local community college program instead of a company school. Less headache and no commitment to one individual company.

Just my two cents worth.

 

Second that. The company that pays for your training owns your butt. If you leave early (contract violation), many of them will charge you $5-6k! You can also write off training from a community college next tax year.

 

And if it's through a college you may qualify for an education loan too. I did and had like six months before the first payment was due.

Just remember: Nothing is "free"

 

Another thing about getting trained in a community college or technical school is most of the better ones have job placement people that will help get that job.

 

Look at Henderson they hire out of Florida so I am sure they hire fron Carolina's. .

I have done a lot of footwork and Henderson is by far the best company with in house cdl school
