That is good. I am going to wait a few days to see if anything comes from the WIOA grant request. If I can avoid a contract I will but ultimately I will need to do whatever it takes to get my foot in the door. I will pretty much have to wait until June anyways so 2 tickets will drop off and be outside of the 3 year window.
Thank you again for all the advice, I really appreciate it.

Some drivers had a less than pleasant experience with a contract. Majority did not have a bad experience.
Do what's in the best interest of you and your family. Many Americans would love to have a job contract.
Contract or not, an excellent career is in your future.MetroPlex Thanks this. -

It's basically impossible to describe just how important the Atlanta area is...for a freight hub in the southeastern United States.
If you can work your way into doing intermodal duty in/around the Atlanta area--you will very likely stay busy running loads--even in a very bad recession.
Been there, done that.

Lol
they are upset that desalination isn’t on the table for Atlantas water supply ?
When the ocean is 300 miles away and largest river in the southeast flows right through town ?
Alabama and Florida are always mad about how much water the Atlanta area is using before it gets to them . Have been for decades .
Most of the water in metro Atlanta is drawn from rivers and discharged back into a river.
It’s not like many places that drain an aquifer.
The only water that doesn’t go back into the river is what’s used for watering lawns
the whole reason Atlanta exists is because of transportation
it’s was the intersection of two or three railroads
then the airport got built in Atlanta instead of Montgomery or Birminham
And then in the 60s three interstates cross in Atlanta .Last edited: Apr 13, 2022

Georgia Driving Academy has a 180 hour program which is good.
Roadmaster is owned by Werner.
160 is ok also.
I'd go with the Georgia Driving Academy 180 hr. program since WIOA is paying for it.Last edited: Apr 29, 2022
