Before you begin wrenching on that Ranger, consider that those older Rangers had a problem with the Impact Sensor. An electronic whatchamacallit that senses an impact and shuts down the injection system to prevent fuel under pressure from spraying from a ruptured gasoline line creating a fire hazard.
Those sensors have a habit of just failing. And when they do, the engine receives no fuel, --- like bein' out of gas. It'll turn over, but won't start.

yeah i'm going to talk to her some more. she's an o/o for panther. she's been with them for years, so that's saying something. she's not driving right now cause she got in a fight with some dude and he knocked her out... doctor won't let drive right now from the concussion. (nice, but a little rough around the edges)... hahaha.... but, what woman driver is NOT a little rough around the edges...

 

aftershock! you might be on to something! cause i tinkered around with the fuel pump and i hear it when i click the battery on, fuses/relays look good, so i don't know. i swear it was the damnest thing... i turn the corner from the stop light, 1st, 2nd, 3rd no problems, 4th gear let out clutch give gas and dead!! coasted to a stop and now won't fire back up.... i'm gonna check that impact sensor now! preciate ya!
