I have been trying to think about these things and am having a hard time coming up with something I would miss (other than my son).....the closest is being able to come in here anytime I want and read everything that catches my attention....LOL

I'm headed for Dallas and USXpress on the 19th, so I guess I'll find out pretty soon. I want to get a laptop but need to wait for my tax return to get here.

I used to love the sound of the rain beating on the truck while I was falling asleep. But the biggest things that I missed when I started was being able to go hang out with friends, sucks when you call em and they say oh just grilling some burgers and sitting around the fire. Always missing important things. Some companies are good about certain things and getting you home quick. I was in washington dc waiting to deliver early when I found my grandma got ill and didnt look like she was gonna make it past the next couple days. Called dispatch told em about it and they got me a load the next morning to wi and told me to deadhead home from there and to call whenever I was ready to come back she didnt care if I took a week off to go to the funeral and all that.

Its been 4 weeks since I have been home and not sure when I will be going home as I still have to finish my training and I am begining to feel home sick. What I miss most at the moment is wakeing up beside my husband and enjoying a cup of coffee with him before we go off to work. Its funny how you miss the little things that we so often take for granted.

I missed getting my hair done every week. But I really missed sleeping in my nice and comfortable queen size bed.

Holidays, my brother in law missed Thanksgiving and Easter this year. When I worked with him years ago (bed bug hauler at the time) we spent the 4Th of July sitting in a truck stop somewhere in Maryland.
It doesn't seem as bad sitting here thinking about it but it sure did suck at the time.
