Was this with John Christner? I worked for this company, as a O/O, and know others that had leased with them and did way better than $600 to $1300 every 2 weeks, But they do get paid every week there, unless it has changed

The company I am doing a lease purchase thru is pretty fair. As long as the driver does the homework and reads his or her contract and understands what the word liability means they should be alright. It's hard work but anything worth while is.

Got any hard numbers to validate it being "fair".

Jim Palmer has a walk-away lease program, and they "say" drivers are dispatched to earn $4,500-$5,000/wk. Palmer may be serious about it. Also, some lease drivers make a living, pay off their rigs, and move on with success. Although I don't believe the percentage is very good.

I got my second truck through Quality Companies. They get their used trucks from fleets. My advice: get a new truck if you can. I spent two weeks at the Quality yard checking the truck out throughly and it was still plagued with breakdowns. On the positive side they do cover repairs for the first month and then you're on your own. After 3 months of constant breakdowns I turned the truck in at their Waxahachie yard. The good thing is that Quality is truely a walk away lease unless they changed it.

I ended up not going to Bruegner, or any other lease, after all. Working for a small 10 truck company in SoCal delivering plastics to the farms and bringing produce back. Home on weekends and only drive in Cali and Arizona.
    So far so good.

I disagree, if you find a good and credible leasing company they will allow you to put the title, plates, ins. etc. in your name and if you dont make the payments then they repo it. but if you do complete all payments u do get the title to the truck. my next door neighbor just finished his 7th lease with a reputable company. only had his title for 2 days.
