You think you'll make more than a company guy? What's your time worth?

The key to success in leasing is knowing that it is a business and that you have prerequisite skills to manage a business.

Know how to develop a comprehensive business plan. Know how to implement that plan. Manage your operation to that plan. Then know how to make adjustments to that plan.

Leasing because someone told you make more money isn't a plan. Leasing because you have no options isn't a plan.

    Get the picture.

If you already have bad credit then what makes you think that being a business owner is a wise decision. If you cant have good personal credit how will you have good business credit? Owning a business takes money to make money and your first year you will stay broke until you develop a good business plan and relationship. Owning a business takes time and relationships, just like freight. You cant get those $3.50 mile runs your first day owning a truck unless you got good knee pads and I never was the knee pad kinda guy.

How long have you had your own authority and how many trucks do you own?

Same here. You're not getting 3+ dollars a mile? I have zero knee pads and routinely see over $3/mile.
