Hello, RodiRon Welcome to the Site!!! In response to the 3 DWI`s, as long as they are at least 10 years old. Get your 10 year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) to take with you when applying with a school. It will speak for you. Your past will remain the past and your success in soberiety will reflect on your clean MVR. Do you have any moving violations? Best of Luck.

 

Thoses can and Will show if you enter Canada, and they may lock you up ~!!

Canada wont lock you up they just wont let you in. I know from experience.

 

All that he needs to do, is find a few companies that DON'T go into Canada, OR Mexico....there are MANY for him to inquire about.

I really don't see 17 year old offenses hindering his hireability.(is that even a WORD? anyway...)
After all, companies hire folks who have felonies as recent as 3 years ago, so 17 year old offenses should not be a problem, as long as there have been no other arrests or MV citations in the interim 17 years.

I am sure some companies will say no but if you look and call around I think you can get a job also? But three yikes!! just keep looking dont give up think positive.
