I'm a 20yo guy interested in driving, but is it even worth getting into now or should I wait until I'm 21?
My 21st birthday is in a year by the way.
Another concern I have is my height. Every truck I see is huge and I'm only 5'6, so even car visors do nothing for me. So is it then safe for me to consider?
I have another career I'm more interested in anyway, if it turns out to be a waste of my money and time. So any flat honest answers will be much appreciated.
Want to do driving but I'm 20 and in Minneapolis

You can attend cdl school now at 20 yrs. old, but will be limited to driving intrastate which is within the state of MN. Can't cross state lines until you're 21.
Your height isn't an issue; lots of drivers shorter than you driving 18 wheelers. -
Get your licence, plenty of local work around the cities.

Saw a guy who was a dwarf get out of a new Pete at the pump. He wasn't more than 4 feet tall ! I assume he had some kind of apparatus in the truck to help. Amazing!
Rocknroller4 and KillingTime Thank this. -
If you have another option that your more interested in pursue that first. You can always try trucking later.
homeskillet, tscottme and lagbrosdetmi Thank this. -
You look older than 20 in your avatar.
Nextup, KillingTime and ncmickey Thank this. -
If you dont mind work, core mark is always looking, as is wm and a few others that wont care about the age. A few will do lumper to driver programs, you will be 21 by the time you get your cdl
