    Driving for 2,000 to 2,500 miles a week and never being home is exactly why we've decided to come home and drive local for awhile. It's just not worth it, it doesn't pay enough and you do way too much sitting. We could easily run 3,000 miles a week but it's hard to find anyone who'll run you that hard any more that pays decent.

    And, yup, Mike's going to work nights but since our kids are all grown, it still works for us 'cause I work mornings, he sleeps, we'll both be up and free in the afternoons and for supper and then he goes to work. Could be worse.

    Maybe in a few years we'll look into buying our own truck - seems to be the way to go these days to make any money and get any miles.
