As a 1099 operator, the definition according to the IRS, is that you are an independant contractor, therefore you have the right to do as you please according to loads. Yet, these companies pay no attention to the rules and push L/O drivers as bad or worse than a company driver. I hope every one of these companies go bankrupt and go out of business. They are nothing but scum of the trucking industry. They take advantage of drivers that don't know what they are getting into. May a pox come upon them. It's the same old story over and over again.

Yes, many times it's the L/O's falt, but many times it's not. There will always be those that actually make something of a living that come and tell how stupid those others are. Some are company shills, some are really making it, either because they are really on top of things, or the company HAS to have a few make it to keep other sheep lined up to lease.

I have read these same post year after year. I know some are just not cut out to be L/Os, others are suckered before they have experience enough to do it, and most because the company just wants someone to run their truck for free and pay the company for doing it.

I hope there's a special place in you know where for these companies that are using people and spitting them out purposely for their own profit.

That's pretty ignorant and plain bad manners, Since when is proper grammar a requirement for posting on a truck forum?
