Yeah that's a hard order to fill as you are just out of school.
You have to put in your time and take your lumps..in other words you may have to go on the road.
Nothing is easy..after you get experience you can pretty much write your own ticket.
Just saying..Puppage and Nightwind8830 Thank this. -
If interested in hauling Biodiesel and possibly ethanol try kanetransport.com. They hire in the Rockford area. Ask for Dallas.

thank you and I will. might be a tall order,i was talking to a driver at a gas station the other day and when i heard how much they make I got inspired pretty quickly to search for a bulk company to start with if possible.

Buchanan energy sometimes hires unexperienced drivers. I believe they are out of Mt. Prospect or Arlington heights. They deliver to chicagoland Mobile gas stations. Its hard to get in, they get a lot of apps. I applied after I graduated but didnt get in. Its worth a try anyway.

Try superior carriers there's a driver or 2 on here that was hired on straight out of school.
QC lowered their hiring requirements down to 1 yr. But has to be extremely clean mvr and background.
Keep digging around, we are so shorthanded and I just don't get why no one wants to haul tanks.

Are you set on tanker or open to other things? If you are looking for local there are a few freight and foodservice companies in the chicago suburbs that hire and train new drivers, there are even a couple with training programs for students. I graduated in the end of October and got a couple local offers even with a major speeding ticket on my record, so if you look hard enough you will find something.

Get 6 mos. + experience with hazmat tanks and you won't have any problem finding local work.
Try : Trimac (they now hire new CDL grads)Nightwind8830 Thanks this. -
Tanker is the way to go, pulled them for 13 of my 27 years. Been out of trucking for 14 months and will be returning after knee surgery heals (745am 03/27/2014). Being out of a truck for that time I am treated like a newbie by most companies. LW Miller will pay .41/mi out 2-3 weeks. That's not too bad!

Carry Transit is another option. Bridgeview Terminal.
