Drove OTR for 6 years back in the late 90s early 2000s.Momma said that was enough that it was time for me to stay home.Been hauling crude oil for the last 17 years in West Tx and New Mexico.Momma saying that's long enough it's time for me to go back on the road. She's tired of seeing my beautiful mug every day haha.Seriously though it was always my intention to go back on the road either OTR or regional.I live in Midland/Odessa Tx and just curious on any suggestions of a good fit for me whether its OTR or regional.Done and tired of oilfields. Thanks
Want to get back at it in Midland/Odessa Tx

Try action transports, have things close to you and it is otr. Company or O/O.

Abilene Motor Express, headquartered in Richmond,VA, will hire you. Decent dry van outfit with a few refrigerated trailers.
Paul Transportation in Tulsa. You've probably seen them delivering pipe, etc. to the oil fields. They're an OTR flatbed company.

Central Freight Lines has a reputation for having junky equipment. Probably make a fair living there though.
I've never been an 0/0 and never had the desire to be. Just don't have the fight in me for that. When I'm home I want to relax and not have to be thinking about running a business.
@sjcox10 look at www.OOIDA.com which is a business website for the owner-operator.Last edited: Jan 29, 2018
