    I been off the road for 18 months or havent been behind the wheel of a truck. And i would like to get back in the seat i came off the road due to personal issues also i have 4 preventibles on my dac,, 1 is 3 1/2 years old the last one was in 2011 im trying to find out who will pick me up?????? In the last 18 months i havent work... (personal family issue) but i was making money cause i still have to pay bills.... I dont know whats going to hurt me more applying to a o.t.r. Carrier and the fact that ive been unemployed for 18 months or the 4 preventibles (all non-dot recordable)?????? I want to know if anybody knows what carrier might deal with my stuff/mess???? The local work in my area (nyc) is so funny now i been applying and had tons of interviews road test and no call backs!!!!! Smh... I would drive a school bus at this point but i dont have the ( s ) endoresment. I got my cdl back in 1998 and there was no ( s ) endorsement. I want to get back out on the road but at this point im stuck???

    I know i need 6 months of driving somewhere cause i need it to put it on any app; for any o.t.r. Carrier thats just a dot thing.. I know some people want the whole story but im just looking for some suggestions and feed back. Im not here to get into deep about who??? What??? And why??? Regarding my personal issues... Thats just me,,, so if anybody has any suggestions please leave them maybe i can put some kind of plan together to get me back on the road.. Thanx hope hear from you soon....

    start calling the major carriers...there are many who do refresher training if necessary.

    4 preventables on your DAC is not good, due to insurance reasons, trucking companies will pass on you. Try putting your app. on bestdrivers.com or any truck driving jobs web sites. That way you can find out if you get any call backs or responses about driving jobs. One last thing.. call Butler Transport out of Kansas city Kansas, they hired a friend of mine that was out of driving for a little over 2 years and they flew him out there and did his road test and passed and so far he likes it there.

    thanx to all that left there feed back.. i will be taking all of it!!!! i forgot that they say preventibles over 36 months (3 years) so the first one is over 3 years so i really am working with only 3 on paper as far as time... now i guess i need to find a company that only allows no more then 3.. i dont know if some of you guys know TRUCKER STEVE???? but i hit him on FACEBOOK and he said as long as there not MAJOR,MAJOR and not DOT RECORDABLE they may give me a shot??? i may have to take a intense road test/backing.. it took TRUCKER STEVE a long time to get back to me but he just did. i know he knows his S@#T!!! and hes funny as hell... whats your take on TRUCKER STEVE???????? LOL,,,,,
