    I'm looking for a mentor locally since I'm serious about starting myself.

    I really appreciate all the replies and advice. I have already learned a ton from this thread. I am going to take it one step at a time.

    1) Get CDL

    2) Drive for a year or two for a local company

    3) Figure out if this is what I want.

    4) Throw keys at boss and never want to see the inside of a truck again!.....LOL
