You can try crengland or calrolina cargo. There both two of the worst companies in the industry but if you don't care because of your accident try them.

Send an application to Stevens for tanker. They have positions hauling frac sand out of the Houston area. Pay is based on percentage of the load and from what I understand the average is about 1250 per week. 13 speed volvos with APU, dish network and NFL Sunday ticket.

Great information, Chinatown. I really appreciate it. I have my GI Bill from the military, so I can use those benefits to pay for trucking school without having to owe some company. I was thinking about Lonestar College, which looks like where Stevens sends their trainees anyway.

Which type trucking are you interested in?
Since you have the GI Bill, there's quite a few companies to choose from and this way there's no contract to deal with.
Or you can use a company school and save the GI Bill for later or for your children.

Shop around; look at these companies that hire new cdl grads. Most companies that hire new cdl grads will hire from college or community college cdl programs.
Freymiller - hires new cdl grads under "Restore Program" described on website.
    Navajo Express
    System Transport
    Paul Transportation
    Melton Truck Lines
    MCT Transportation
    Danny Herman Trucking
    Britton Transport
    Schuster
    JRayL Transport

Shop around; check these plus the companies already mentioned before.

I mean everyone has to start somewhere, so the best beginning possible is my immediate concern. If this becomes a decent career that can provide for my family, then I'll go where the money is. I'm all about training, experience and moving up the ladder. I'm not worried about the type of work.

Here's some tanker companies to look at. They may cut some slack on the accident. Good pay; should easily make $60K - $65K the first year.
    Superior-Carriers
    Tidewater Transit
    CTL Transportation
    Schneider Bulk
    SVTN
    Trimac Transportation
    McKenzie Tank Lines
Girton Propane Service - hauls agricultural chemicals.
Keep in mind, these tanker outfits and the others posted before, all hire new cdl grads. If the websites have "experience required", ignore that and apply anyway, because they all hire new grads on a case by case basis.
