It is pretty easy, just watch youtube videos.
I found that 26 feet truck is easier to drive then regular car
I was doing moving in nyc, once took grand piano from 5th floor
And customer tipped only 20 bucks
That was my last day in moving.
Want to start a Moving company? How hard is it to get going?

@Sharky88 knows the answer I'm sure. -
How about a nice casket?

2) get a lot of experience, lifting/carrying HEAVY items, and NOT dropping them, or scratching them, or damaging them in ANY WAY.
3) when you have worked at that company for about 6 months to 1 year, THEN decide if this type of work is right for you
4) if it IS a career you wish to pursue, call up the insurance companies for coverage quotes, be sure to be sitting down when they tell you.
5) if you can manage the insurance payments, THEN go looking for a very good USED truck, with maybe a liftgate, and a ramp as well
6) now comes hiring people. are you going to pay on a W-2 or 1099?
7) you HAD BETTER get a BCI check on ALL the people you hire, as they WILL BE in a customers homes.
8) once you accomplish that, advertise your company, at first, simple ads tacked up to bulletin boards at shopping places, like grocery stores.
9) of course, make sure you have ALL the required permits, business papers REQUIRED in YOUR state, and this too is time consuming and costly
10) stay an employee, save yourself headaches, and tax liabilities, and insurance claims.Last edited: Mar 16, 2020
Mike2633, Texas_hwy_287 and x1Heavy Thank this. -
A workaround would be to run a Pods franchise. Let the people sweat their own moves.

Make sure you have good health insurance for when you blow you're back out.
In all reality though, if this is you're dream, then pursue it. -
Sound like you actually a a lot to move. If your going to do it yourself to good luck. It sounds like you will have about half to 3/4 of a trailer to move. You pay braided on weight the gym equipment is going to cost you
I know money is tight but trying to pinch too many penny's are going to hurt you. Remember you get what you pay for. Hire a mover.
