Make a shirt that says "Respect My Authority!" With a picture of cartmen on it. Make sure you check MC#s to confirm the driver actually has their authority before letting them purchase a t shirt though.

I think a copyright would be filed against that. The term could be used with a truck as the logo.

Respect is earned. Maybe start by wearing a shirt with a collar instead of a t-shirt?

The yoga pants and flip flops are the worst part of the new industry standard.

I saw a guy at a shipper wearing flip flops and a Terry cloth bathrobe. Just when I think the standards can't drop any lower...

This thread has me thinking back to the hitch hiking thread. Truck drivers for the most part don't care about others, wouldn't even stop to help someone in need, with something as simple a ride, in the direction they are already going, so it's not out of their way. Seems a bit odd they then think that everyone should care about them, and respect them. Honestly, I was shocked to read most of the responses in that thread. Compassion and caring for all, should be an automatic built in personality trait, in my opinion. As someone who has been the hitcher, it was amazing how great it felt to see a motorist pulling over. Without the kindness of strangers, to get a ride each way, more than once, I would have been walking for many, many days. If truck drivers don't have respect, it is then odd to expect respect.

Yet when I wear yoga pants out, compliments are given frequently. What you may not like, others do. Have you ever stopped to consider that? Asking as a yoga pant owner. I for one am glad that not everyone dresses alike, that would be so boring and bland. Just as we don't all drive the exact same car, truck, motorbike. Our homes are different sizes, shapes, colors, roofs, and spread out in all sorts of different locations. Imagine how boring this forum would be if we were all identical. Diversity is what makes it special.
