I haven’t been with Lonestar since 91 there a whole different company now.I had my own authority before I went to work for them , found out I was making better money with my own authority so went back to it been doing that ever since .we run about eight trucks out of Texas .

It really all depends on your trailer and what you can haul.sometimes the more specialize the better sometimes not. the more your trailer will do the more advantage you have over others !
Farm machinery might be an easy way to get into it just get to know some people at a auction site start picking up loads just build from there . Standard RGN with aluminum pull outs is a good trailer for that !

So just putting this out there if anyone is serious about getting into heavy haul. We are hiring and will train the right people.

What we do isnt easy and it's dirty. The boss can be verbal if one messes up but he's great to work for once a person proves their worth.

We pretty much haul for the steel manufacturing, energy and areospace side of things. Every once in a while a move will include a track vehicle or something with wheels. Many tarps are thrown here along with chains and straps.

Compensation is based on experience. Hiring in the upper Midwest. Although we have terminals all over east of the Mississippi.
