Hi there! I'm new to this sort of thing mostly read, but here it goes.
I've been looking to see what is the best company to start for to become a tanker driver.
Little about myself am 24, not married, live in Tampa Florida and I'm in the Army National Guard.
I'm thinking tanker because it seem the most interesting to me.
I've done some research on different companies and I came up with Schneider. They have good training, and the military program, and they do this thing called Jet-Set.
Where they fly you to where ever it is you start. stay for 3 weeks and off for 5. Is anyone doing this?
If so do you like it? What is the avg miles a week? Is it true you earn more than other divisions?
I'm looking into Schneider be cause they take on new people with out cdl experience and from what I've found so far in my area you need to have at least a 1-2 years. And with this Jet-set thing they got it seems to make since..Any opinions welcome, If possible people that work in Schneider tanker division.
Thanks

I would go for it, especially if you are single. Seriously. Knowledge is king out here, and in a program like that, with no personal distractions, you could go far. Again, seriously.

Schneider has become extremely anal and micromanaging. Has caused people to leave. Even little things like what shoes you wear. You are required to wear the boots they provide.
